International Colloquium on the Origin and Fate of Angolan Slaves 1st edition

This event promotes an open debate on the journey of Angolan slaves, as well as their economic and cultural impacts at their points of origin and destination.

The 1st edition of the International Colloquium on the Origin and Fate of Angolan Slaves (Colóquio Internacional Sobre a Origem e Destino dos Escravos Angolanos) is scheduled to take place on 1 and 2 December in Luanda. It covers several sectors and requires an invitation for access.
With the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MINCULTUR – Ministério da Cultura e Turismo) as promoter and the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP – Ministério da Economia e Planeamento) as coordinator, the colloquium offers a meaningful platform for reflection and dialogue around a crucial part of Angolan history and culture.
