The 1st edition of the Blue Economy Forum, scheduled to take place from 26 to 28 October in the city of Benguela, aims to promote the economic potential of the Angolan sea and strengthen business partnerships.
By highlighting the blue economy, the initiative purpose is not only to increase the knowledge of companies and the public about the inherent benefits, but also to draw attention to the importance of maintaining a balance between economic activity and the long-term preservation of ocean ecosystems.
To access the forum, you need to register and purchase a ticket. The Ministry of Fisheries and the Sea (MINPERMAR – Ministério das Pescas e Recursos Marinhos) acts as the promoter, while the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEP – Ministério da Economia e Planeamento) plays the role of coordinator. Events Arena oversees the organisation.
The Blue Economy Forum represents a valuable opportunity to explore and discuss sustainable ways to exploit marine resources, boosting economic development while protecting marine ecosystems.
